I trained with the Massage Training Institute (MTI) at the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork and obtained a level 4 Diploma in Holistic Massage Therapy. I uphold high standards of practice in my work and I am now a registered member with the MTI.
The model of training and practice created by MTI now forms part of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) standards for holistic massage in the UK with a great emphasis on teaching a wide variety of techniques that can be adapted to an individual client rather than applying a set routine to treat all.
The valuable skills I have acquired from my training have enabled me to assist a wide range of people with their own individual needs.
I have spent the majority of my career in the care industry and have a real passion for helping others. Working for caring agencies and in the NHS as a Clinical Support Worker has given me extensive experience of working with people from all different walks of life and to be able to make a difference to the lives of others has been extremely rewarding.
I first discovered my passion for massage when I needed help at a difficult period in my life. Persistent tension headaches and migraines linked to stress took a real toll on my mental health and I spent months on different pain killers with no relief. It wasn’t until I started having regular massages in my upper back, neck and shoulder areas that I started to notice the pain easing. Within a month of regular massages I was off the painkillers completely and was able to enjoy my wedding day pain free. Before this point I hadn’t realised how beneficial massage can be.
Massage not only helped me physically and mentally but it also led me to the realisation that I can help others by learning this invaluable skill. My aim is to give you the most relaxing experience each and every time I visit with a treatment tailored to you.
